Why do have to pay an additional $49 a month?
GREAT QUESTION! So, you're getting wayyyy more than a website template- you're getting nearly the whole shebang you'd typically get as one of Makena's (the website designer) private clients. This means you don't need to pay for outside hosting or any of the additional plug-ins that you'd typically pay for if you're DIYing things!
The complete, nearly-ready-to-launch website will be ready to go, hosted on Makena's own proprietary platform, using Amazon Web Services. The only thing you'll need to pay for outside of your website is JUST your domain renewal each year, which would be around $15, or any ancillary software you choose to use on your own.
This is a MAJOR deal because you don't have to manage the headache of hosting, backups, security, etc.
